is it true that you can flip your shims over and use the other side of them? may be stupid question, but i have searched and i cannot find any info, thanks.

Get that transmission working first... While it is out, do the rod bearings. Once you get it running again, do the full 60k. Then you will have the reliable driver that you are seeking. :thumb:

Flipping shims is no issue at all just make sure you clean the surface up. And check the clearance. Also would be a good idea to write down what size shim is in what place incase the numbers get wore off.
