I have (and have had) a mysterious flat spot in power from 2k-4k RPMs. During this spot, with about 1/2-3/4 throttle, the car begins to jump a bit. I suspect this is a result of my vacuum leak from temporary RTV intake gaskets. Still, before I had that leak, it did this. Plugs and wires are brand new (200 miles on them at the most). The only other "weird" thing about my SHO that I can think of is the exhaust setup. My previous owner installed a single exhaust (single muffler) system, which has one of those kinked bends at the end of it. He also used U-clamps everywhere on the exhaust. Could this be causing it? I also have rasp around when this occurs, which has made me suspect an exhaust leak.

If its got rasp around that point its probably running lean. Try cleaning your MAF sensor.
