I have the SCT Livewire TS+ with an AJPTurbo tune. I love the device because of all the custom things you can do to it.

I also live in Phoenix so it gets 115+ here (46+C). We only have 91 and my car with a tune runs great even with the tune I get less then 1 degree on knock.

What octane fuel do you have out there? I honestly don't remember because I have been to your neck of the woods in 12 years.

91 and 95 but I’m not sure if it’s accurate

If it is a true 95 octane you should not have any problems. There are many reputable tuners for our cars. AJPTurbo (Brad), Livernois, Unleashed (Torrie) who all can help you. I personally went with AJPTurbo because he is a SCT dealer and his tunes flat out perform and they are safe. Plus Brad provides revisions to his tunes and his customer service is great. I am not saying the others don't....I did my research and I went with Brad.

octane is specified differently in the Middle East and other parts of the world IIRC. Here we use the avg of RON + MON. I think they only use RON (?) "out there".

http://qsaudi.com/petrol-in-saudi-arabia-which-one-to-go-91-or-95/

April 1, 2012/1 Comment/in Cars /by SaudiExpert

There are two types of petrol fuel that are available at petrol stations in Saudi Arabia.

1. Premium 91 which is indicated by Green color on pumps and also color of the liquid is green-blue. It has a Research Octane Number, RON = 91. It costs SR o.45 per liter.

2. Super Premium 95 which is indicated by Red color on pumps and also color of liquid is red. It has a Research Octane Number, RON = 95. It costs SR. 0.60 per liter.

Earlier to 2006, only Super Premium 95 was available at petrol pumps though majority of the people did not know about the rating. However a study was conducted and it was found that 85 % of the cars could run on a lower grade Petrol RON = 91 and thus give saving to customers and to the nation. So Saudi Aramco started producing two grades of petrol.

So, which one should you use for your car?

Though most car can run on Premium 91, it best to check your car manual for what is suitable for your car.

Happy and safe driving.

We are known to be one of the safest tuners out there that still gain night and day power differences out of these vehicles rather it be tune only or tune+bolt ons! Give us a pm or call at 313-561-5500 extension 104 and ask for cody and ill be glad to assist you!

The tune is awesome ! But that code is po299 low boost etc... don’t really feel any loss in power. Would it be really noticeable ?

Have you checked your BOV seals?

I switched the tune back to stock didn’t have that code at all. LMS told me maybe I didn’t drive it long enough to get the tune learned all the way.i drove about 86 miles. I have to go to the dealer for a seat issue on Wednesday after that gonna reload the tune and drive for a while and see if it goes away. Never had I had any power loss stock or tuned. Runs fine.

Unplug and remove the two bolts holding the BOV into place on the charge piping. IIRC the seals are orange.

Wouldnt I have this code on the original stock tune from ford if I had low boost. Didn’t have until the tune. Idk if it’s related is there a drive time for everything to learn ?

Revert to stock, clear codes and prove it out. Tunes do turn up the boost.

Sometimes random codes will set when flashing a tune. I would ask LME directly about it.

Can take 100-200 miles depending on how much variation there is in your daily driving. The specific data it is looking for are listed in the inspections readiness section of the owners manual.
