Hello everyone. I'm about to purchase a 1994 sho thats been sitting for several years. The owner bought it for his wife and lucky for me she can't drive a manual. It has sat for about 6 years I believe, however its only had two owners. He said he would scrap it if no one wanted to buy it so he offered it to me for the scrap price of $300. I figure this is a win win. So thats why im here. :wavey:

I have yet to work on a fwd car so this will be a learing experience.

Will do. I'll be picking it up after my return. I'm also here in WA.

As far as I know from the last time I drove it (5 years ago) it needs tires, battery and exhause. The rest is toon up :thumb: (Just in case i'm checking out head gasket replacement videos and pictures. I'm a visual learner and this way ill have a "head" start and i'll know where everything is.)

also plan to remove the injectors and clean them up so gas will go through them again. current gas does not do well sitting for years, so the injectors typically get gummed up.

Thank you for saving another SHO! Don't worry about the heads it would be very unlikely it's needed.I got 200k outta of my stock head gaskets. Only changed because the engine was out and on a stand.

Maintaince before performance on the gen1 and 2. You will gain more for your dollar. And the life of the car.

Clean the intake, MAF sensor with quick dry electric cleaner, clean the IAB valve, maybe put new 02 sensors in, flush your coolant, and yes soak your fuel injectors in (I like blaster fuel injector clean or seafoam ) , change the plugs. Get that bad gas out either syphon or pump or dump. Change the fuel filter, very easy and cheap.

I bet you this car would start and run for 50-100k the v6 SHO's are industrucible IMHO.

Congrats infinityshade, enjoy one of the best sleepers ever made!
