jedhead interesting read thanks for the dyno info. is zex the only kit that really works well on these cars or do the others work just as well just without the pressure comprensation of the box? im very knowledgeable about nitrous as my race car is a nitrous car.

alot of guys are running the zex dry kit, i think there are others that have gone with a wet kit but have spent the time/money doing it the right way. but ass far as mods to do now, i would go with everyone else and do the brakes and suspension first along with the y pipe. i run the cat less y and will agree that there is some loss in the low end and a tad bit more on the top.

would love to see some pics of the camaro

The big thing is running a dry kit. To run wet you have to drill the intake and mount jets to it for each big runner. Because of the shape of the intake if you don't it will pool in the intake and reek havoc.
I believe most people prefer zex because it monitors fuel pressure to keep them from leaning out. For what you are looking for a 55 to 75 dry shot would work well.

If you want a wet shot there are pics here on the forum of people who have done it.

well i finally took delivery of the car yesterday and am very suprised as to what i found out the car has almost all the mods i wanted done to it and more lol,
udp
tuned lpm
equal lenght y pipe
11.6 rear disk swap
26mm rear swap bar
fully ported intake
hard button hvac control and a spare to boot
brand new kyb struts and new moog springs all the way around
new tie rod ends inner and outer
new lower tension rods and bushings
new ball joints
new hawk pads all around

the guy i got the car from only had it for a month and decided he didnt want to dothe clutch and knew nothing really about the car since he got it on a trade even tho the clutch is shot just cruising around the neighborhood its pretty damn quick tire spin thru 1st and major torque steer in 2nd, so id say that having to do the clutch is a non issue at this point since i got way more than i thought i was for the 800 bux i paid for it lol
besides needing to be buffed its in really good shape
and i got a set of brand new lower control arms the stock intake , stock crank pully , spare idlers, 2 full size spares on correct white sho rims
i think i got a smoking deal

other than the white wheels , not a fan of painted wheels, thats one amazing steal you got! Clutches arent TO bad but they do take time, work and some blood.

Hope she lasts, take care of that one!

Yeah, clutches arent that bad as long as you have the tools. Just a lot more time consuming than a rwd. A lot more disassembly ect.

I think some the sho veterans have gotten the time down to a few hours, but I always give myself a weekend to do it. Dang fwd.

These cars are a whole lot of fun. The best things is that no one really knows what they are, especially all the ricers, and the younger generation. I'm learning day by day about these cars, what mods work, and what do not. You are close enough to me, and I'm out in Crest Hill most weekends on Sundays, so if you need a hand, let me know. I just picked up my second SHO myself, and will be putting this one together hopefully to have it done by summer.

we; im hoping to do the clutch this weekend, i took it out today for a bit and holy shit does this thing fly massive tirespin thru 1st and second gear but driving it around and having to float the gears is a real pain in the ass. gave it a bath and as i thought it needs to be buffed out badly. i love it tho more than i even thought i would, rides nice big and comfy and th kid loves the sound it makes when i hammer on it

My kids love my car too, infact, my 3yr old son throws a fit when we go somewhere and have to take Mommy's truck, I think it hysterical! I've had more fun in this SHO than my street Mustangs, and I've had some quick street Mustangs. Next on my list is a 3.2L turbo setup, in due time. The ride, the space, the true sleeper-ness factor, its all ideal for a fun car.
