Well I'm not really new here but I am a first time Gen 1 owner. I've owned a '94 ATX, a '97, and I currently have a red '95 ATX and now I just added a black '89 to my collection.

The paint could use a good buffing (it looks worse in the pictures than it does in person). I just bought the popo grille & painted it flat black (I'd like to paint the whole car fat black eventually) and then I tinted out the tail lights & front cornering lights. Eventually I will tint the windows to complete the "murdered" effect. I also installed the take-off mufflers from an '05 Mustang GT I picked up for $35 on Ebay.

So what do you think? Not bad for $2500? It is absolutely perfect mechanically w/ only 115k. It has recently had the full upper & front 60k. New heater core, A/C Condensor, Rack & Pinion, Clutch & Flywheel, Tires, CV axles, struts, radiator, Rod Shifter Conversion w/ Magnaflow Y-Pipe...... not a single leak on the vehicle anywhere. Interior is really clean too minus some minor cracking on side bolsters.

I have already ordered the following parts that are being added soon:
*Complete SHO Shop snorkel CAI w/ filter in fender with Lincoln 80mm MAF
*Stage 2 Ported Intake Manifold
*BBB's
*X2J ECU w/ Tuned LPM
*4 Pulley UDP from Ford Performance Specialists

Sweet! I love the my Gen 1.

My only question is: if it's only 115K miles, why did it need all those new parts?

I have 235K on mine and the rack is still original.

Doesn't really matter, if it's in in good shape.

Welcome to the insane asylum. Great Gen 1 purchase. Keep up the maintenance and you will find a great long-term friend. My 91' has over 218k miles and still has the original engine and transaxle internals. Go Luck! :salute:

I'll have to take some more pictures and get back to you, that's all I have taken so far.
