You heard it right.

I want someone to find me a 95 MTX SHO with decent miles on it.

Not really looking to buy just yet, but "just in case."

I would REALLY like blue or white or silver. Black and Red are the backup colors. I'm not TOO interested in any other color (I am sick and tired of Green cars.) Leather interior is a must. Radio isn't to important as it'll be replaced almost immediately. I would love to have a Sunroof.

Other than that... that's really it. As loaded as it can get for as little as possible.

I just want to keep my options open. After riding with 99V8SHO in his G3, and after driving a 91+ (even though it had a *****'d tranny and a crotchety old man in the back seat), I miss just how much I loved the SHO when I was looking for a car. A SHO is no dream car, and ain't nothin to write home about, but sweet baby jesus are they peices of work. Plus, I'm tired of saying "yea, my buddy has a really fast car... it's a Taurus..." then they scoff... "Taurus S-H-O..."

Then a puzzeled look on their faces.

I am going to try and buy a 95 MTX from someone at my school I think. It's a teacher (female) who's driving it while her husband drives her Sebring convertible. The car is IMMACULATE. White, Silver Slicers. Talk about being a baby. I drool every time I see the car, and no one but me knows why. Time to humble a few civics around here.

Ok, Time for class...

Hehe now Garrett has two bottle-fed members of the family. wink
If you didn't catch that his SHO has a ZEX nitrous kit on it. He is also a father to a brand new daughter. Congrats Garrett!
I think he told me he was selling it...

Garrett,

How much? Miles? Condition?

Used the NO2?

If its in good condition, I might consider it. It ain't an MTX, but the G3's are pretty cool.

The nitrous kit runs a 75 shot nozzle. Over all it's in good condition. It is Mike Holhuts old car if you know him. The car itself has about 140k on it but it has a 98 engine IIRC installed and welded by Kirk. The original engine suffered the great cam failure and Kirk installed the new engine into it and last year I had him weld it. The engine itself has ~40k on it. The third cat is removed with Bullit mufflers and an exhaust cutout. Kirk says good look getting the cover off of it though. Granted it's not that useful really unless your blown, lose to much bottom end with it open. The rear calipers were replaced last year and have about 3k miles on them. The calipers and brackets are painted black and silver to match the car. It has 18" 6 spoke rims with Nitto 555 tires. The rear have about 2k miles on them and the fronts have 0 miles. Just replaced them. Right now the car has it's winter rims and tires on them. The nitrous bottle has about 80% left in it. $50 to refill and is good for about 15 1/4mile runs. It has all options except a sunroof. The right up on V8sho.com for the nitrous install is actually this car. It has a Kirk custom open cone intake. I would like to get $6000 for it. That includes both sets of rims and the nitrous. The car has been tuned suspension wise for autocrossing and road raciing. It is incredably stiff and handles like a monster. Very very good. Essentially the tires are going to break loose in a turn before the car even starts to lean. I believe Mike told me he installed larger sway bars and messed with the struts and springs. Don't remember exactly what. hence the reason we are looking to get rid of it. Just a little to rough of a ride for a baby to ride in.

Windows are tinted and it has custom SHO graphics on the front and rear windshield that Mike made when he had it. Not to mention the Massachuttes state police stickers on it still and the black steel winter rims in an all black car windows and all makes people slow down when they come up on you :D

On the nitrous the best I've pulled is about 14.55. That's with the 18's on it. Mike was able to get a 14.39 on it. Not sure if that was on stock rims or the 18's. Stock it runs about 15.3.

I'll really have to think about it dude.

I have to sell my car first, then scrounge up the other money.

If something happens and I run into a need for a new car, I'll give it some thought.

I am kind of hesitant, as you could imagine, due to the N2O bottle and the miles and history of the car. It's been abused (well, used, not abused) and knowing the durability of Roman's SHO, it might look grim.

I'll give it some thought, and I won't be ready to buy until my car is roasted.

That's understandable. Since I've had it for the last year I've used the nitrous 4 maybe 5 times at most and I haven't autocrossed it at all. Been babied hardcored since I purchased it.

i've got a silver 1995 MTX fully loaded with 85k. You might be able to talk me out of it in another few months, maybe sooner, if the price is right (i.e. enough to pay off the loan)
