Well it finally happened.

When I was looking at my SHO, the guy said that it had died on him and would not start. No spark.

So I buy the thing, check out what people have had to say here, and I think, CPS. Gotta be.

Thing is, it drove onto the flatbed no problem, and off. So I started it up a few more times, sure enough no problems. So I went ahead and registered it, and I've been driving it for the last week with no problems at all.

Well tonight it happened.

Drove my SHO a couple miles, an hour later I go out, crank crank crank crank crank crank crank, nothing. rant Tach is dead. Fuel pump whines. No CEL.

So does it sound like a bad CPS or what? By the way I have all the parts for a lower 60k in my living room, including a new CPS. Just gotta get the SHO back in the garage headbang

Sounds more like a relay or power problem if you arent getting fuel pump priming. Check the PCM ground.

Push the car into your living romm (since that's where the parts are) and do the front end service.

rangerj posted a procedure awhile back on how to test the CPS with a meter or an LED test light. It is late in this thread: rangerj's DIS System Test

Well, I pushed my SHO into my living room like you said. It's on jackstands now and I've started my lower 60k. I'll get some pics up maybe tomorrow.

The starter-bump method worked great!

Nope, no spit or sputter.

Though in the past week it has seem to be hesitating a little when not under WOT, esp below 4k RPM...
