Hey guys, im finally getting around to fixing my wiper problem. The problem is they dont work AT ALL lol. I've been driving around since july like this too :nut: . I have changed the mfs when my headlights were on the fritz so i know that's no the problem. What its doing when i turn to get the wipers on is it's buzzing under the dash. I've been told its either the wiper relay(I have NO clue where that is) or the wiper motor itself. Input would be greatly appreciated before i dig into either one.

Circuit Breaker

The Taurus (at least 1993+) uses a circuit breaker instead of a fuse for the wipers. It's a silver box on the left side of the fuse panel. If the buzz is coming from the fuse panel, it might be that the breaker is bad, or it is continuously resetting because of a short. The window squirter also runs off that circuit breaker; try unplugging the two connectors on the wiper motor and use the window squirter and see if that works.

The wiper control module is solid state and shouldn't be able to make any buzzing sounds.

If you want to hit up a bone yard and throw other parts at the problem, these parts are guaranteed to fix your problem unless your wiring is hosed:
1. wiper motor
2. wiper control module (little box by the chime & other relays to the right of the steering column)
3. Another multifunction switch

Chris I have a spare motor you can have. Just pay shipping and I will get it in the mail. Its a '92 unit incase you need to verify. I may be able to pick up a '90 one, but I will have to pull it from the car.
