Hey,

I have been thinking about this stuff lately, especially with all the posts about the clutch adjuster mechanism. I tested my mechanism a while back, as far as I can remember, and it did adjust if there was slack in the cable. If that is working, do I have anything else to be concerned about?

Also, I have the HD PP, Fibertuff disc, Ceramic TOB combo in the car currently, and it is going on 3000 miles of time in the car. However, it is just getting to around 500 miles of city driving (I've been keeping track!!). I'm curious if it is to the point where I can start giving it a bit of a workout. I have been keeping it below 4k and have been trying to be easy on it. What's the opinion?

Thanks! :salute:

Go for it, and have fun. You're past the point of worries I think with 500 city miles on it.

No concerns really that I can think of off the top of my head.

You should be fine. Those long easy miles should really help the overall longevity of the clutch. I've got about 100,000 miles on my current stocker and the first 15-20,000 of them were put on there by my mom and sometimes my dad. I don't think my mom ever hit the secondaries once in that car, ever. And my dad is just as much of a low rpm driver, if not more so, than my mom.

I certainly wouldn't have the patience to wait as long as you before opening it up but it very well might be that the optimum amount of easy driving on a new clutch is a bigger number, like you've put on. I just can't say for sure other than you are good to go sir!
