I am in the process of hooking up a Kenwood CD player in my '90.
This car has the "Premium Sound" with the amplifier in the trunk.

Can I hook the speaker leads from the CD player directly to the leads to the amp?(harness for stock radio) Iv'e heard this is possible and works well.

Does anyone have a Kenwood CD player to which they still have the manual? I don't have one and I need to know the polarity of the speaker wires. I don't know if there is a general rule when it comes to car audio about solid and striped wires. Can someone dig up a Kenweed CD player manual and let me know what says as far as wires with a trace being + or -? I can only assume that the black trace indicates (-)

Any help is appreciated;)

Cool, thanks. Got it all hooked up with the amp bypassed and it sounds pretty good considering the whole thing cost about $2 in supplies.
