I will try and snap some pics up, but basically the louver part of the vent comes out, and then you have access to the tabs on the top and bottom to slide them out. if you intend on keeping the vent, be carefull as the tabs snap pretty easily. I guess over the years the plastic becomes brittle with so many hot/cold cycles.

black dash, right? have you considered painting the vents orange?

Yes, Since im getting black vents i was thinking of leaving them like that and since the passenger side one has an "outer trim" i am probably going to paint that orange and leave the inside as is .. black. I might do the inside shinny black .. not sure.

I would like to put a blue oval (ford) on the center of the airbag, a buldged sticker any body know where i can find a nice one? The paint kinda filled up the leters in there.

Back when I worked at a vinyl shop, we used to a small polyurethane-gel gun that we could coat decals with and create the flexible "dome" over the top. I'd measure the logo on the steering wheel, call some vinyl shops, and see if they can digitally print on foil, or if they have a foil roll for their thermal transfer printer. Do Pantone Reflex Blue over chrome foil, then get it domed, it'll look OEM.

Also, try this out: http://www.frontweb.com/domed_labels.htm.

Car looks sharp as ****, keep those pics coming. Hope this helped!

Just consider that anything you put on the front of the airbag may turn into a bullet headed for your face. :omg:

Great pix, though! Very impressive.

Anyway, love the car man, that is awesome what you are doing with that car. You've got to have so much sweat and tears into that car by now. Props to you man, looks great. :hail:

Lol ... I will need to get me a girl with some "daisy dukes" on! I've actually seen a replica General Lee car drifting on a online vid, with traffic too. It was insane but it looked cool!

Thanks for the props guys!

I will try to post pictures later tonight ... I finished installing the door handles yesterday (its a 2 man job because of the "heavy duty" rivets that needed to be used). Plus i added sound deadning material inside the doors and have all the windows and window trim in also. I managed to install the rear passenger door panel. Starting to look like a real car not a parted car. :dribble:

Have the windows half way down. Take off the interior pannel and take of the speaker if its one of the front doors. Then there is 2 nuts 10 or 11mm(gold color, dont remember if its the same for the rear doors. Ill check when i get home), take em off, that holds a small bar. Push the bar inwards but becarefull becase the window will tilt, so WATCH YOUR FINGERS ... IT REALLY HURTS! So have someone hold the window while you take out the bar(its a guide for the window). Slide it off however you can. Then let the window sit tilted that way the window trim is free. There is another bolt on the lower left that holds the window trim in place. If you were to open the door, any door on the car you would pull on the lower outer trim towards the center. Might be a little hard. once the lower section is towards free then pull it down doesnt matter if it goes inside the door. Just keep doing it until the hole thing is free and pull out. Becarefuill with the inside part of it ... has metal on the edge of the trim ... might scratch something. and thats it. Have fun!

Ok , here are pictures for the door panels back together and only the rear panels have been installed. I had to plastic weld the suede pieces since they were originaly like that. I did install the dash yesterday. I dont have pictures of that yet since it was already dark outside when i finished.

Lol ... as hard as it was trying to put those back in with the added thickness of the suede it would of been much harder to do so if that part was suede also. It took me like an hour and a small flathead screw driver to put 'em in without chipping the paint on them.
