I am thinking of buying a Pioneer DEH-P6400 for my SHO when I get it. Has anyone had any experience with this deck? Thanks in advance,

What year SHO are you getting? Pioneer usually makes good equiptment. I have a JVC headunit in my SHO. I just bought my third one yesterday. It's mint. The nicest stock SHO i've ever seen and i own it thumbs_u . My first one got blown up doing hole shots. :( A little advice when you buy your SHO. Change the oil every 2.5-3K keep up on your 60K's, and keep the hole shots to a minimum. If you havn't already purchased the car when looking at it, look at the intake manifold for shiny spots. Vertical shiny spots mean bad motor mounts horizontal mean bad subframe bushings. Also check for oil in the plug wells. You can just take one of the front plugs wires out and see if there is any oil on it. THese things could get the price dropped. They always do for me. Have fun and don't be afraid to ask ?'s on the forum. Everyone is glad to help here.

Poineer decks are pretty nice. You might want to upgrade to the 7400 since it plays MP3s. Make sure you shop around first, I know they can be had pretty cheap on Ebay. If you find them on ebay and the seller is for an online store (ie Ikesound) you could get sounddomain.com to price math it and get the full warrenty even with the cheaper price. You should be able to get the 7400 for less tha $250, even as low as $200 off of ebay. Good Luck!

the best part about pioneer decks is that they play ANY type of cd media. Some players have trouble with burned CDs and CD-RW disks (they skip, or dont play at all). Pioneer decks play everything without problems.
