Ive decided to trade the truck and SHO in for a 2018 Sierra Denali which can be had for a steal right now, FYI. The 6.2 is a beast!
I appreciate all the help along the way and the great group of enthusiasts on this forum! Unfortunately Ford has lost my family’s 20+years of loyalty with trucks suv’s and sedans (Customer Care is deplorable).
I’ve listed some parts for GEN 4 in classifieds awaiting Moderator Approval. This is a great deal if able to pick up in MA. H&R springs, MY Cal tuner and (2) five-star winter wheels with TPS’s.
Best,
Mike

Good luck - one counterpoint: I have had 100% stellar support from Huntington Ford on Long Island, and can't be happier with their service. Above and beyond.

But again, good luck!

My gripe isn’t against all dealerships, but FMC customer care

Sad to hear but completely understandable.

Seems like this is happening with a greater degree of frequency then FORD cares to admit.

I firmly believe that coupled with the complete removal of all of their sedans from production, that the decisions being made currently will affect them negatively.

Both short term, as well as down the road.

As others have said good luck and it's been great having you as part of the family. I have family members who own GMC's and they are very happy with them.

My wife's Denali has been nothing but trouble. Currently throwing codes about the fuel return system...

my neighbors 2015 Denali has had 25k worth or warranty work up to this point. He said his 2011 was the best rig he ever had. funny you can get good and bad from each at any given time. sucks to see you go.

That explains why they are so cheap right now.

They are also smaller now, wife won't get another because of the downsize, and the issues. She considers this vehicle cursed and will not be getting another.

Yup, our F150 was a total piece, but only some of the issues were Ford's. I found there is zero reason to be a brand fanatic: find a model of a car that you like, who cares about the brand. This is why we have a Nissan, Toyota, Ford and Kia in our stable.

I drove my SLT over a year with zero issues. The upgrade to 6.2 and magnaride was well worth it. Acceleration is almost on point with SHO. At this point in life I don’t keep my vehicles much longer than 3 years as to avoid ailments that most vehicles do suffer. Fluid changes, tires and brakes are all I expect to pay for now.
