My cooling fan hasn't been working and i cant figure it out. There is no power even going to the fan itself. Is there a sensor or something along the line that cuts power if it isn't working correctly?

The electric fans are controlled by the PCM via a pair of relays in the CCRM box. Additionally, the low speed fan on your car has a dropping resistor that is mounted to the inside of the fan shroud.

First, with all power off, verify by hand that both fans can rotated freely and are not seized.

Then, check the large COOLING FAN fuse in the underhood fusebox.

If those are okay, I can post additional steps.

EDIT: Whoops, noticed you have a bastard system. What parts are 3.0 and which are 3.2 based as far as the CCRM and the fans?

On mine the fans stopped working. I ended up pulling a new CCRM box at a local junkyard and installed it...no problems since. Must have been a bad relay or something.

Good luck with the bastard system. :thumb:

Checked all the fuses and they came back good. My car has just the 3.2 block with all the accessories being off my old 3.0. Can i get a little more info on the CCRM box?
