Gents,

My factory sub isn't working and the only thing that I can see is that there is one set of wires that look like they should be plugged in some where but aren't. I will try to describe them as best I can.

There are two wires, one red(i think, it might be black) and one yellow and black. they end at a gray plastic connector. The yellow and black wire goes to the square black thing between the two amps. The other wire goes to another plastic connector which then goes to the silver Non-JBL amp. I think they might be ground wires but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. By the way the rest of the factory system works great. Oh and it's a 94 ATX, if that matters.

Sorry, I didnt see your post earlier.

If there is a connector not plugged in just hanging there, find a place to plug it in. I am about 99% sure that every connector back there is different and cannot be plugged into the wrong place.

To me it sounds like your amps are hooked up, but the wire is not connected to the sub. This is the only harness (IIRC) that has only 2 wires. If comes out of the amp (the one on the left looking into the trunk, I believe that is the sub amp) and should connect with another connector going into the subwoofer box.

Let me know if that made sense to you...

Nothing else, just plug it in somewhere like I said...

After thinking about it, maybe the enclosure is really enclosed. I dont have the proper tools to remove the sub right now, so I cant really tell.

After 10 years, my sub started sounding like crap too...I went to eBay and bought another one and bolted it in and it's back to sounding good. If the sub is sounding too bad, you can alway unplug it from the amp and not use it until you can replace it.

Good luck!

Ok Guys,

We are getting a little off topic here. The problem I have is I can't see where these wires are supposed to plug in. So if someone could look and see where this harness plugs in I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks

So, I take it no one is willing to look in their trunk to see where this harness plugs in for me....
