Hi,

I am using the factory speaker wiring with a PAC Amppro and I want to avoid interference between my amplifier power cable and the factory speaker wiring.

Does anyone know where the oem wiring routes and where best to route the +12v for my amp?

TIA,
Ken

Hi Shoken,

I am still in the “planning” stage of my audio upgrade but I am planning on running the power wire through the driver side windshield cowl “gasket.” Then route it through the driver side floor trim. So if I do that, then I will route the RCA cables on the passenger side since I know the driver side will be the worst case no matter what.

However, I don’t know all the specifics on the OEM wire locations.

I am considering the fiber module add on for the amppro and running fiber to my DSP. That would make it noise immune and I can run it with the power wire if I want.

I would not worry about the actual speaker wires collecting noise. As long as you prevent noise before it gets into your amp. Any noise that might be picked up afterwards shouldn’t be audible.

I'm assuming there is a low level wire that runs from the factory head unit back to the factory amp. I am concerned that if I run +12v along side that low level wiring, that it will pick up noise.
