I still can not get any sound when I install a know good radio/cd player in my 93 SHO. I want to keep the stock radio and cd player. WhenI first pulled the radio out of my car the amp plug looked like somone had tried to remove it with a screwdriver. I bought a plug and replaced the broke one. After plugging everything up to a known good radio and cd player and still no sound. Does anyone know a simple way to test the amps to see if they are good? I have checked all the fuses and can not find one that is blown. By the way I have one of the factory radios that plugs up to the wiring that does not go thru the amps and it works fine. Any suggestions whre to go now? What little bit of gray hair I have is slowly coming out over this situation.

Thanks,
Henry

I had this happen a few years ago in my old SHO. A fuse in the engine compartment was blown. Try that or you may need a new amp. Did you make sure that all of your wires are plugged in to the amps? grounds are all intact?

Hope it works out for you. When I was putting in my JBL system (mine didnt come with it) I had the power and grounds mixed up and blew a fuse. I had the radio and cd working just no sound. It took me a little bit to figure out that I should look in the engine compartment. Sure enough the big fuse blew.

The fuse block is located behind the driver side strut tower. I have attached a picture for you.

I don't have that fuse block. Mine is a 91 if that matters, I have looked all over and I don't see any other fuse panel except the one under the dash. Here is what I have.

I would think their has to be one somewhere under your hood. My 2006 Impala SS has one also. Maybe check on the passenger side maybe??
