Factory CD player?

My new GenII came w/a factory CD player...not installed. Previous owned had the coin and cup holder in place. I tried to install/hook up the CD tonight. I installed the plug from the dash into the back of the CD and the plug from the CD into the back of the tape deck. Looks like there are 2 other very small plugs on the CD harness...do those go anywhere!?

Anyway...the CD player was clicking and ejecting on its own and wouldn't play. I guess I know why a previous owner didn't have it installed!
I like the look of a factory s/u but I'm wondering what is the change of finding a stock CD unit that works well!

I thought the wiring from the car went into the rado/tape deck and the cd player pluged into the radio/tape deck?

I can hardly remember behind there but I think it just slaves off the tape deck and I know there is one small wire thats kind of special thats required to connect the two.

Re: the wiring. I get mine to power on I had to plug in a harness from under the dash (I think this is the power to the CD unit) and then plug the CD (harness coming off the CD) into the tape unit.
