Always worked fine with no problems, but now it doesn't work. The buttons light up but the display doesn't and the radio part of the system doesn't switch to the CD input. Is there a fuse that could've blown or a common problem with this?

Thanks

My CD went to the garbage also. When I would put in a CD it would spin like it was trying to read the CD and then just shut off and go back to the radio. There is a place in Syracuse that can repair the radio or just exchange it for one that has already been fixed. Around $85 I think. But for that kind of money I would do what I did and buy an updated head/CD unit.

I think all SHO's have bad CD players. Outta the 6 SHO's I test drove before buyin' mine, every one of them had some kinda CD player problems. Yankin the deck out was the first thing I did when I bought it. When I was test drivin' it, the guy was like "First thing I'd do is get rid of that CD player and put somethin' decent in it" Go with a aftermarket deck and save yourself alot of troubles.

Yea I'm in the process of redoing my entire system anyways, was just wondering if there was a fuse or something so I could play CDs in the meantime. It's ok thought, I got my new DD9515 and JBL 1200.1 on the way, and I'm probably going to get either Rainbow Pros or ID Chameleons up front with a JVC SH909 or Alpine 7995 up front.
