I have a '93' MTX with premium sound and sub but no CD. Do you know if all the connections will be there to plug in one of those CD players prior to '97'? I can buy one with all the connectors on Ebay but I am electronically challenged. I've seen other SHO's with this setup stock and that's what I'm trying to attain. As long as I have the harness will it be that simple for me (plug and play)?
BTW if anyone has the knowledge and the parts let me know the info and price you would be looking for please.
Thanks a ton,
Jayman

I just did the same thing. I had to buy the cables and here are the part numbers your'll need. Mine did not have the sub, but I think everything is the same.

Cable from dash harness to head unit and Cd player for power. PN E9SF15041AB3. My guy gave it to me for dealer price at $34 but it lists for $45.95.

Cable from head unit to CD player with grounds PN F4DF14588HA. My guy gave it to me for $46.00, list was $65.00.

He had a couple left, and trust me you won't find them anywhere on the net. Call him at Accessories Unlimited, ask for John.

*oops, phone number is 505-888-5811*

Hope this helps.

I guess the cable from the harness to the head is different then? But the unit I buy comes with a cable so I imagine it's the one from the CD to head right?
Thanks for your help Lance

Make sure which cable it comes with. If you have your head unit out look in there to the left and you see a second main wire harness (black and looks similar to the one you have in the back of your current head unit) probably attatched to a dummy clip. The first cable you need will connect to that, split off then have a lead to both units. You will attatch the grey cable that was in your head unit to the splitter cable and reattatch the new grey end to your head unit. I forget the number of pins that goes to the CD Player.

The jumper from the head unit to the CD Player is for the opening on the top right of the deck, it will have a sigle plug type for the ground that slides on the clip on the back of each unit. I suspect this is the cable that will come with your unit, but make sure. Ask seller if the cable has a part number and match it with the one I gave you.
