Hey guys,

The double sided tape that holds my passenger front exterior B-pillar trim on has separated and is no longer securing the panel properly
I want to remove the panel, clean off all the old tape and residue and reapply with new 3M tape
My question is if there are any tricks to getting the clips undone in the center and bottom without braking them or the panel itself
I have gently pulled on the panel and can almost see the clips but I'm scared of braking either the clip or the panel and wanted to know if anyone had any experience pulling these panels off before I got in too deep.

Thanks in advance!

No experience, but maybe you can see them once you remove interior trim pieces? Thennuse a pick to carress the clip free?

Or use a pick/ trim tool to press/pinch the clip so it comes out freely.

Maybe leave in the sun so it's less fragile and can bend more.

When putting on the tape, 3 m makes an adhesive promoter thats in a little1.5 x 1.5 foil package impregnated in a foam pad. I'll be darned but the stuff does work well making sure foam tape doesn't come unglued.

I think the issue usually is that the foam comes apart and you are left with half the foam and its adhesive on each part.
