Hey fellow sho owners and tuners, I am wondering what is holding my car back
in the mid range of the 1/4 mile run.. I have been viewing other time slips in the drag
section of this forum and I am right there in the short time 176 and mph of 109 to 111
and all I can do 12.61.. I am wondering if the exhaust is holding the car back.. I do have catted
dp's to a stock system.. Any input would be appreciated .. Thanks..

I have full exhaust from the downpipe back and my car feels slower. However, I think that may be because the loud exhaust makes the car 'feel' slower for the amount of noise it makes, if that makes any sense

I’m not sure what you’re asking. Are you wondering why you aren’t running better than a 12.61? What are your mods and what was the DA that day?

Yes that is what I am wondering... I see time slips comparable to mine and there 2 tenths faster.. Just thinking if there is back pressure in the mid
range not letting the car breathe.. This past Sunday went to island for a last shot to get a 12.50 slip.. The air was cool and crisp little over cast don't know
the da probably few hundred above and the best I could get 12.64 176 sixty at 111.15 something is missing..

I have downpipes into the factory center part of the exhaust into blown out Dynomax mufflers. Im running 113 thru the traps and 12.32 at my home track and 12.17 at Cecil County.

Those are some great ET'S... It seams that most of the low et guy's don't have stock exhaust from the cats back
except for steelgiant.. I am trying to post a time slip so we can compare..

I come from racing old school carb cars and there not that much variation in time slips.. When
you have a 176 sixty and go 111.15 and the next run is a 183 sixty at 109.51 and go faster something isn't right.. The computer is taking timing out I guess..

Steelgiant who is your tuner? My car just doesn't have it from the 330 to the 1/8.. I will have to contact LMS
to see what they say..

I tried to claim my car was tune only, everyone had a shitfit over that.. k&n filter and a 3bar are my only mods... my minivan has a k&n filter.. and the 3 bar doesn't make the car faster, just gives more resolution. And I'm only at 14psi, so I could prob just put the 2 bar back in...

How are you guys running low 12s on a tune and 3 bar. I barely squeeked a 12.99 and I have the same mods with good DA and a 1.80 60 ft.

E30 tune... much more timing, I'm only running 14psi

I'm beginning to think part of it is the track....I've seen YouTube videos of guys without meth running solid mid 12s.....and it's almost always at Cecil. Is that track downhill or what
