Exhaust Ideas ?

Looking to do exhaust mod and need some ideas. I've seen where the 3rd cat and resonator is deleted with
some other mufflers than fords. I've seen a number of aftermarket system anywhere from $700-$1500 with MRT, Magnaflow, Borla and Corsa the primary players. Don't necessarily want to send $1500 for Corsa. I can have Solo-Performance prolly build a custom system for a bit less than that if I decide to go cat-back system. Any ideas on other setups would be appreciated.

I removed the third cat and resonator from my car and replaced with 2 1/4 exhaust pipe, removed factory mufflers and replaced them with flowmaster knock offs, mufflers and pipe cost me about $120 canadian and I because we have a pipe bender at work I was able to custom bend the 2 cheater pipes and install myself, I thought for sure it was going to maybe be too loud but I'M it's pretty quiet at cruising speed and it has a deep tone to it when you get on it. To me the car was jus to quiet with the factory exhaust.

I prefer the exhaust being quiet, so I'd do catted downpipes and larger exhaust tips to fill the rear bumper a little better. I've already done tips, just waiting to do DPs next. DPs will give you the most gain and the rest of the exhaust is for sound only.

only looking for sound at this point. I'm not going to mess with the down pipe. I guess i could replace the cat and resonator with a
x muffler and remove the mufflers and get bigger tips. Thanks for the help.

I did the 3rd cat and resonator thing with stock mufflers and thought the car sounded great from inside the car....then my girlfriend told me my car sounded like complete crap when I left her house, lol. I guess its muffler time.
