i was thinking about putting an aftermarket exhaust on...well get one custom bent with super 40 mufflers. some1 told me that this will b very loud so i got an idea to increase the HP without making it to loud. i thought if i removed the third and replace the flex pipe (mines falling apart) that i could gain HP but keep the noise down if this wont do a whole lot i was wondering wut a good quiet yet powerful exhaust and i would prob tun 2.5" or 3" from the flex pipe back. lets here wut u guys think.

There's no power to be gained in an exhaust system on one of these cars.

Super 40 mufflers will not be loud at all, if anything they'll be close to stock unless you pull the resonator or go with a catless pipe.

Oh really? You sure can move the power around, especially with tuning.

We offer a flex pipe that replaces the third cat.

Your link is broken, and what was it to? The bypass pipe? Don't see it on there. The FPS site could not be more confusing at this moment if it tried. Maybe they just are not finished with it, but there is no seperation of truck and car stuff. I will check back later and see if I can find it.

I just bought a $20 one and had a ****** welded on. Then a new pipe where the resonator was.

I just cut the cat bolts off, and took a long screwdriver to the catalyst. Then bought two new grade eight bolts and nuts.

Bypass pipe sells for $129. It's stainless and comes with a gasket. Give us a call if you're interested.
