Hey Everyone - New tires after 6K??

I've read these things eat tires but even with a no name brand, I thought they'd last longer. Backstory is when I bought my 2013 PP a year ago, the dealer put 4 new tires on it: Velozza ZXV4s. After 3K miles I had the oil changed, replaced front inner and outer tie rods, RF axle, and 4 wheel alignment, tires rotated. I put another 3 k on it so had the oil changed and was told I need 4 new tires. They showed me the wear on the edges and across the center, but not down to the TWI's but can see needing to replace before next winter. Also the RF has had a small bubble on the sidewall because I hit a curb a month ago, but no damage to the rim, does not leak, and still drives straight as an arrow.

So a few questions:
1. Is this normal? Perhaps I'm enjoying the way the SHO handles on curves, and getting up to speed and passing more than I realize, or is it the low end tires?
2. I do worry the bubble will grow or split so think I should replace it before the hot summer months. With AWD, could I get away with replacing 2 now and 2 more in the fall, or is it really much better to do all 4 at the same time? Either way I'll keep the best one for a spare to replace the mobility kit (oxymoron)

Thanks for any advice.

In 10 years with my SHO, I am on the third set of Michelines. I have never had wear issues or alignment issues.
Be careful not replacing all four on a AWD vehicle.

If everything is in alignment and balanced, I would think that is the quality of the tire, or lack there-of.

When I put new tires on, I chose Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Few weeks back I popped one by hitting a hidden curb in the middle of a parking lot. I measured when I went to replace and they still had 5/32”, or half, of the tread left with just a hair over 20k mostly highway miles on them. They have a 340 treadwear.

By the way, I replaced the front two even though I only needed one, and everything has been fine. I will keep the two newer always on the same axle when I rotate.

Thanks. I guess its the brand of tire. Only other thing I wonder about is that since the dealer replaced the rear toe links, the rear hop a little more than before. Dealer said its normal.

It would be unexpected to have a 200 treadwear tire be gone in 6K miles, much less a 340 TW like those are rated. If you're really hooning it around, maybe. The fact that you needed tie rods and all that work half way through, though, means that the tires could have been pretty badly worn due to tolerances exceeded. If toe in/out is way off, particularly if you have any sort of lowering or camber outside of stock, the inner or outer edges can get eaten really quickly.
As far as being part way down to the wear bars, yes, that does reduce the hydroplaning resistance. That alone, though, not reason for replacement. However....

A bubble? I'd change those babies now, particularly as you have mentioned spirited driving. And the problem with all AWD cars is that they are not tolerant of having significantly different tread depths as mentioned by others. So you can buy one new tire and have it shaved down to the average of the others - if your local shop can't do shaving, look for a race tire shop or a place that does recaps as those will have the right equipment - or you can choose to lose the life left in the tires and replace with new.

Given the poor service you got out of those, I would not go back with the same budget wonders. I have a set of the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate, classed at Tire Rack as ultra high performance all season, and I find them comparable to the DWS and the Michelin A/S that I previously ran (these are on my STI, with overall similar demands on tires to the SHO) but all of these are great tires. And the Goodyears have a $75 rebate right now FWIW.
