Hey guys, I'll be flying out to Phoenix the week of the 20th to get a break from the cold temps and snow here. So is there anything cool going on out that ways? I've never been that far west before and besides gambling I'm lost on what to do. Any ideas? Meets?

Naw, nothing to do in Phoenix in the winter. It's too cold here.


In what part of town will you be abiding? The Pavillions car show is _every_ Saturday evening and is usually pretty well populated around the holidays. You'll at least get an idea of what we're talking about if you stop by there.

Elsewise there's no shortage of stuff to do around here, it's a big town and this is pretty much on-season for us. I think the Phoenix zoo-lights thing is still going, that's kinda cool, too.

I'll be staying with family in Sun Valley?, in a community where you have to older than 40 to buy a place; I should fit right in.

As long as I meet some girls wearing something less than sweaters and parkas I should be good. :laugh_ti: I'm going to do some searching now to see what I can find for the younger crowd. I won't have the sho, but say Hi if you see someone around with a SHOcago hat on.

The closest AZ SHO Club member to Sun Valley will be F-22 Raptor SHO in Flaggstaff. Good luck finding a girl in anything less than a parka. It's very cold and windy there.

Yes, that's a retirement community where I think you need to be 55 or older to live there. Unfortunately, ASU, where you'll probably like the scenery better, is a looong ways from Sun City (pretty much the opposite side of town).

But there are alternatives. Check around, there's a lot of stuff going on out that way, too, once you get out of Sun City.

i'll be out until the 7th so there's really no rush. Planned on doing some mild suspension upgrades (ASF bushings and SFC's) possibly a brake upgrade(have to see how my autozone brakes are holding up first) I dont think my mig skills are good enough for the sfc's. Other than that just looking to escape the cold weather for a few weeks.

There's a huge Harley dealer up here in N. Scottsdale near my place (Hacienda), and another in Chandler. Neither of those is convenient to Sun City, but a directory check (dexonline.com) oughta get ya what ya need.

Wow it's too hot here . Btw, I'm in Sun Parks. Had a look at the Christmas lights last night. Lost some dough at the casino earlier and went up South mountain and took some pics. How about that cloud of dust? Anyone see the 93 sho in the paper for 750.00?? Might have to check that one out. Gotta watch out for all those old folks tooling around on their golfcarts though, I almost lost a toe. :laugh_ti:

Yup, Sun Lakes. We headed out to Superstious sp? mountain and Tortilla flats today. Damn this 78 degrees feels a lot better than 10 in Illinois.
