Hey people I am back!
I have my 92 mtx that has the rod bearings knocking about 6 months. Now that i am working I have been thinking abotu just putting another engine and nto worring about the problems with this one

Problems: bad engine knock, bad oil leak over the starter, alternator etc
New engine around $400 plus installation

What is recommended :( :p shrug

I'm not quite sure what you are asking.

If you are asking on opinions whether you should go with the 3.2 or not, I say definitely. Those that have done it have all had good things to say about the extra torque.

Of note though, I wouldn't just buy a used 3.2 and slap it in there. Since it will be out anyways, I would do every maintenance thing on it imaginable, including the bearings. It would be a shame to put it in and then have to do some of that stuff later.

I was just thinking about going with a 3.ol engine, but you recommend if I can fine one go with a 3.2L

Okay I am a novice ! IF I find one does it matter if it comes from a ATX or MTX and what should I look for when I begin my search

The 3.2L is only available with the ATX. Should be easier to find since there's almost 10 times as many ATXs than MTXs.
I think all the old people and people that aren't into SHOs, should trade thier 5 speeds for the automatics, but let us keep our 3.2's.
