I have a 97 V8 SHO that just developed a problem. When you start the engine if your foot is removed from the accelerator the car dies. There is a click as though some relay is not working. It seems as though there is a control that adjusts the low idle speed that is not working. After starting several times and keeping it revved for about 5 minutes it ran ok.

Anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks

Sounds like the IAC on top of the TB is fouled. When idling, disconnect the plug to it. The car should die. I nothing changes then take it off and spray some Gumout or WD 40 in it.
