just purchased a 94 SHO MTX and when i drive it i notice the following
When i try to rev it up in 1st and 2nd gears above say 3500 rpms the
motor stumbles and hesitates???

ALso while driving in 5th and cruising along i notice the temp gauge DROP?
Now I thought winding it up and doing 100mph the gauge would rise..
it drops to almost the L in normal

What can i do for these problems?

First welcome.

Second, you may want to search on how to check you codes. It sounds to me like your secondaries are not working. Open the hood and manually rev the motor past 4k. Watch for the secondary actuator to move the butterflies.

As for the temp gauge. I run around the middle of normal. Your previous owner may have put in a non OEM thermostat.

Welcome to the forum. A couple easy things I would check for your hesitation and stumbling: first replace the fuel filter, second clean the MAF. If it is dirty it can cause acceleration problems. It especially gets dirty if you have a K&N air filter, as the oil from the filter gets on it and builds up.

I wouldn't worry about the temperature. My gauge almost alwasy sits around the A and L. IIRC the gauge only measures a small actual temperature range of something like 15 degrees, so most fluctuations you see in the gauge are actually pretty minor. The only time you need to worry is when it starts to get hot!

If this is true, I learned something new today. If not, I guess I didn't

The stock temp gauge is horribly inaccurate any way. Install a real temp gauge and you can see just how inaccurate it is.

Up to running temp (190) my stock gauge is BELOW the [L] just off of the cold peg.

Running VERY warm (225ish) the stock gauge reads between the [N] and [O].

Install a rear gauge if you really want to keep track of temps.
If I didnt have a real gauge on my roadtrip to Indy for the convention, and I only used the stock gauge for referrence, I would have detroyed my motor. Simple as that.

How accurate are the ECT temp readings in the twEECer compared to a real temp gauge?

Even with my "el-cheapo" auto-gauge gauges (15.99 for a triple gauge setup), the readings are within 2-3 degrees. My auto-gauge coolant temp gauge reads a bit on the warm side.
