Hey guys,
Looks like the engine in my 2010 non pp is blown (no compression in cylinder 2), anyone have an idea of what a rebuild would cost?

depends on the damage and what needs done. You have to open it up and see what it looks like. Options are also used 3.5, reman like jasper, etc. No one can give you a price without seeing the internals and any other damage. Could be a hone and re-ring could be damaged beyond overbore spec and/or rotating damage

Definitely need to open it up. Did a piston blow a hole a piece fall in the oil pan? Did a valve bend? Did a piece get blown out through the exhaust and wipe out the turbo on the way? Lots of what-ifs and could-be. The best bet is probably a junkyard swap as far as price. Doesn't hurt to open it and check though if time is not a big constraint. Once you start getting into any kind of machine work, you are going to be getting close to a swap price. Added bonus, if you get a newer motor you can get things like better exhaust manifolds, low mileage, etc.
