Engine rapping

How much to rebuild it and finding shop to do it.

While doing 125mph on the Mass Pike my engine started to knock really loud and black smoke came out of my rear tail pipes. But no oil is leaking out of the engine.

The noise seems to be comming from the top of the engine.

Any ideas?

What will I need to replace?

Loads of things could have happened. Pull the plugs, check compression try to pin point the noise using a stethicope or screw driver on your ear. Or open it up and inspect it if nothing is out of the ordnary by checking above.

id be willing to bet you blew a lower end...you did 125 on the pike and got away with it??...thats impressive..

Yea, if i knocked loud and blew black smoke I would say your done. Time to rebuild.
