Engine Mesurements

I'm currently on a project to swap a 4cyl for a V8 engine. I beleive the V8 3.4L is a great engine and I wonder if it fit my car before I buy it.

I know it sounds a littl crazy, but as a mechanic, I know what I'm doing and the car would still be well balanced.

I would like info about the engine block length, height, etc Aslo I would like to know how long and wide is the engine with everything on! This would really help me. I kinda want to do a tribute to yamaha.

I took measurements of the engine I have on an engine stand for some guy on here like a month ago. I'll see if I can locate the thread again.

Here is the link, you'll have to scroll down a little bit to see the SHO v8 with the dimensions. The measurements aren't exact since I was eyeballing it with a tape measure, but you will get an idea of the size of the engine.

what are you thinking of swapping it into? I've done some research myself into doing the swap into a couple different chassis, so I can possibly give ya some good info and direction I've found...
