Engine Help Needed

Its a 91 sho.The problem is that there is a loud "pop" coming out of the exhaust at times.the pop is not constant,here and there
I thought it might be a bad valve but the compression test showed 160 on all cylinders.
The cylinder in question is number 5.Like i stated
the compression test came out fine right at 160 but you can pull the plug wire off while its still running and it doesnt even phase the car.There is spark but the cylinder acts "dead"

Plugs look fine........I am thinking bad injector.
Please help

when does it pop on or off the gas if you think its an injector take a long piece off hose and place it up to the injector in question and the other end to you ear listen to the way it ticks now compare it to the others if it doesnt make any noise get a noid light from auto zone or were ever and unplug the injector and plug the harness to the noid light it will light with the signal from the ecu if not the harnes may be damaged or the injector driver inside the ecu has failed if you think your valves are bad do a leak down test it will tell if your valves are the culprit good luck
