Whao! I just went and bought a MAF, and TPS sensor from AutoZone. I get back, install the things, and engine still spits and sputters. I take it for a spin and smoke starts bellowing out from around the car. I take it back and there is a fire under the car. I dont know what the **** caught fire under there but there was this brown crap dripping down. I am assuming it is something rubber that was burning. This is awesome... I try to fix the car and everything gets worse. Well I think I have an idea about what the problem might be. If a motor mount goes bad, wont the exaust pipe separate some due to movement. And if so, would that cause some kind of backpressure in the engine maybe. Like, how would the engine perform if you just took the exhaust off of the exhaust manifolds... Does anybody have any idea. Maybe because of the separation, the extremely hot exhaust gases caught something on fire under there. If anybody could possibly help me out on this one, it would be great... really great.

I suppose that the separated exaust could catch something on fire...did you hear an exaust leak before?
I don't think a broken exaust will cause your car to run like shit though...just loud, and maybe have less low-end torque. Have an oil leak anywhere that could have caught fire?
