Ok.. well the old fan I had burnt up on me the other day... and I've noticed it wasn't doing any sort of cooling. So I jumpered my self test connector like I was going to run a KOEO test, and never heard the fan kick on.

So I'm thinking back to when I found the fan was faulty. I left the car running, and seen the smoke from the motor, and when I grabbed the wire to disconnect it, I seen a little spark. Now I'm wondering about that spark.... obviously that fan shorted out, but I'm wondering if I blew out a fuse link somewhere, or maybe I just burnt out a contact inside that CCRM?

When I hotwire the fan it works just fine.... for some reason its just not switching on now....

There is a 50 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse box located near the fire wall. My fan shorted out not too long ago at the cover plate on the back of the fan. I was able to remove the cover plate and crimp a splice.

There a number of wires (depending if you have a 3.2L or 3.0L) going into the CCRM that are supply voltages, these are all Black/Orange wires. They are two wires coming out of the CCRM going to the fan/fans. They are both Brown/Orange for the 3.0L and Dark Blue for the 3.2L. (positions 3&4 on the CCRM) .Turn on the A/C and see if the fan comes on. Also check voltages going into and out of the CCRM. That 50 amp fuse does control a lot of other things, but it was worth checking. The PCM determines when to turn the fans on: Above 215*f or when A/C on or during KOEO test.
