Sorry that I didn't see this post and respond sooner. You can visit the links at the bottom of my signature to see the testing procedure and code descriptions. I have benefitted greatly from the detail of the Dali Design site. From that link, your codes are described as follows.

172 (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right or Rear HO2S

This code, in the absence of the equivalent code for the front cylinder bank O2 sensor indicates that the rear bank O2 sensor is probably past its prime and in need or replacement. You should also replace the front O2 sensor along with it since it too has likely lived a long life. The O2 sensors age and execute their rich-to-lean switching more slowly or not at all. This results in less accurate fuel mixture, lower power, lower engine efficiency and greater emissions output.

219 (M) SPOUT circuit failure, timing defaulted to 10 degrees - follow code 213 diagnosis

213 (R) Ignition SPOUT or SAW circuit open or shorted

The SPOUT circuit is the SPark OUTput circuit and includes sensors and processor that modify the ignition advance. Another member may chime in at this point and provide a more detailed analysis of how to check this code and the SPOUT circuit.

Things you can check are the connectors to the DIS (distributorless ignition system) module on the intake manifold's balance tube (passenger side), the plug to the CID (cylinder identification) sensor on the passenger end of the rear bank exhaust camshaft and the gray shorting plug (SPOUT) plug on the wiring harness about 5" from the CID's terminating connector.

This is a memory code only as indicated by the "M" in parentesis after the "219" code in the description above. If you ran/run the KOER test (engine running) and don't get the 213 code, this condition has been corrected.

The condition may have been due to a failing sensor or intermittant connection (loose connector). If the engine is not totally gutless in its output, the spark advance must be ocurring as designed and this condition is not currently active. If you pull the SPOUT plug temporarily to, say, pass the NOx portion of an emissions test, you will find that the engine loses what seems to be all or most of its throttle response and much of its power. You can't mistake this situation as any econobox can outrun you in this condition.
