Engine Codes, have a question?

I just ran the engine codes on my 94 atx using the paper clip method and I came up with two codes. I got 126 and 634. The 126 digit code I know is a bad O2 sensor, but my question is what does the 634 code mean? I did a search and the only thing it came up with was the vss was shot or something like that. Any help is appreciated.

That is a transmission code. How has your tranny been performing? If your transmission has been problematic, that is the code for whatever your problem is.

Also, the 126 concerns the MAP or BARO sensor...not your o2 sensor.

The tranny seems to be shifting fine to me, at least alot better than in my first SHO(which needed a total rebuild).

Most of the SHO ATX's will need a rebuild in their life.....

Does your cruise control work?

Clear the codes and see if they return. Is their a reason you pulled the codes?

My cruise control works fine.

The reason I pulled the codes was because i got a bunch of 170 codes, and the 634 code. I changed only the front O2 sensor just until I get another decent chance to get underneath my car. I ran the codes again and all I got was a 176(not a 126, like I first said ) and the 634 code. I realize that the the 176 code wont go away until I change my back O2 sensor but what about the 634 code?

You should always change the o2's in pairs. It is almost impossible to do the back o2 without renting Auto-Zone's o2 socket set. Make sure you install Bosch o2's any other one will crap out soon.

The 634 code has to do with the Park/Neutral switch - you may not have cycled the OD button during the codes properly resulting in this code. I would install the new o2, and clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it doesn't I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, the back O2 sensor is chore and a half to say the least. I had to change it on my other SHO last summer.
