There is something seriously wrong with my car. At idle it is only around 600-700 and it like surges and when I take off from a light the whole car shakes and you can actually watch the dash shake, and when I hold it at a constant speed it starts shaking. Lately its been shaking even when I accelerate too. The car is definately slower and I am getting horrible gas mileage, like only about 10 miles to a gallon. It feels like my car is just going to fall apart. If anybody has any idea or can help me, PLEAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE do.

i hd a similiar problem, check the bolts on your DIS module, hit the connections on the crossover tube with a wire brush. make sure the ground strap on your intake is connected too. maybe we can get some more info for you as well. run the codes see if it tells you something, that might be the key.

And control your breathing, you're on the verge of hypervenilating. Breathing into a paper bag helps.

When the panic subsides, edit this thread title to something actually related to the problem your CAR is having, Like "Running Rough" or something similar.

SHOitoff95,

As Steve said, relax. Check for any codes and get some idea from the computer what might not be working right.

You can start by making sure you have good grounds. The battery terminals should be clean and making good contact. There is a ground about 8 inches away from the battery, screwed into the passenger inner fender well.

Next, there is a ground screwed into the firewall on the passenger side. It is attached to the intake manifold at the passenger side support bracket for the manifold.

The manifold crossover tube is a ground, so remove the two bolts that hold it on and clean the threads, then reinstall the bolts.

The small bolts, 13/64 I think, that hold the DIS to the crossover tube are also "grounds".

When you are done cleaning the grounds, start checking connections. It sometimes helps to disconnect, and reconnect, the connection. Before putting them back together check for any corrosion, broken pins, or any other malady.

Relax, and take it one step at a time. rangerj
