Ok, I spent the night at a friends the other day and in the morning, he needed my car moved out of the driveway so he could get his out of the garage. Half asleep, I threw the keys at him and told him to move it. The driveway is on a big incline so I had the E-brake on to prevent "torque lock." He isn't much of a car guy and to make a long story short, he drove up and down the street (about 40 yards total) with the damn E-brake engaged!!!!!! I was ******...I've been driving it for a day or two and no problems, but what could that have done that I wouldn't notice. Torque converter?? Trans?? E-brake itself??? Thanks in advance guys...thats the last time I let anyone touch the keys...

At the least,it will warp the rotors. If you haven`t noticed any brake vibration in a few days,it sounds like you made it ok.

If he only drove 40 yards he didn't do any damage. I have a 94 ATX, when I put it into drive with the e-brake engaged it automatically disengages it. Is this only a 94 and after feature?

Listen and listen good-----it is not possible to warp any rotors when driven 100 yards or so with E-brake on. You can take this to the BANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would wager even a 1/2m wouldn't do it. Signed, your banker!! wink
