Good man, good man.

LMAO!!! I love this line:

Unlike typical superchargers that get power from engine belts and can easily damage and blow cylinders, the Electric Supercharger gets its power from the vacuum inside the throttle body...

For a REAL electric supercharger that does work, see http://www.boosthead.com

Ok another thing, Why is it that the ESC makes more power than a regular S/C? or is that just their programing doing that?

A regular s/c robs power from the crankshaft to make boost. The electric s/c only draws power from the batteries so there is no parasitic losses and you'll get more HP at the wheels at the same boost levels.

Yes. If you want to be extra safe, get an TwEECer. And intercool it.

Also, he will offer you a deal on the kit since the Gen I and II SHOs have never had one of these installed. Basically you get a deal for being the first.

I think it is all or nothing, it is not set up to change speeds, down low I think It would be okay, but as you went up rpm wise, I think it would actually work against an engine.

Are you talking about the little fake one or the real one from Thomas Knight?

Anyone ever think of the added weight of all those battery's? Plain and simple there heavy big time. What happens if in a crash? All this $ for a few seconds of boost? If you were going to want something like that Why not just build a huge air tank and put it in your trunk and regulate it down and use that for boost if you only wanted it to last for a bit?

It's not free. You either have to have extra batteries (weight) or the alternator is going to have to carry the load (loading down the engine). An electric supercharger is very feasible if done correctly.

This company offers an electric centrifical supercharger. They don't have alot available on there site but I am sure you could contact them for info. They have been developing it for years and I think it is a viable option for electric f.i.

Brian

*EDIT* I was able to locate an older info page on Turbopac, it is for the larger supercharger but gives an idea of the product.

The batteries I have only weigh 12 pounds apiece. The total weight of everything for my ESC 550 system is 174 lbs. and that gets spread out from the engine compartment to the trunk. The batteries won't be just laying there loose so they shouldn't cause problems in an accident. Yes it was a lot of cash, but it should be worth it. You do get more than just a few seconds of boost. You can run 15 seconds of boost at a time, which gets you over 100 easy. You can do a 15 second run about every 10 minutes all day long, without filling a nitrous bottle.
Danish, I could't find a 200 amp for the sho. 130 is the biggest you can go. I am going to run a separate 200 amp alternator for the ESC system. I'm looking into running a clutch drive system for it after hearing some suggestions. We'll see anyways.

Guys, guys, guys, you are just wasting your money, try this scenario: Ok, your wife might be ****** or if you are a suave metrosexual, you might be ****** too, but try this on for size. You have a hairdryer in your bathroom! Take it out, put it where the tubing between the TB and the MAF go, duct tape firing end to the TB and the sucking end to the MAF. And WALLAH, just as good as an electric supercharger for less. Sure your wife will walk around with wet hair everyday, and if you are a Metrosexual, you will be unable to blow dry your hair after you are done plucking your eyebrows, but hey, your car with be STUPADOOOPAACHAAGED!!!

sorry, i had to :)

Oh and by the way , theres a little thing when you post called edit so you don't have to post 4 times over and over.
