Well I posted about a guy on E-bay selling these for $215 which included shipping. I got them today!! Woohoo!! thumb

My question is...does anyone know if Performance Plus can put them on and align the car?
It is a 6-7 hr drive that I am planning on making for my 1st 60k, and I don't know if they do, and don't have a chance to call them for a day or so.
I'd like to have them do it since they know Shos', but if not, I may have it done before I drive up.
Any ideas or experience folks?
Thanks,
T

Not too sure if they will do it or not.. my guess is they will....

Just curious why you don't do your own 60k?? It is actually quite easy.

They sell struts, so I would think they would install your springs, but,... you definitely want to call and have them schedule it.

Don't want to sound too much like a rookie, but what are the GTP arms?
T
They are tubular adjustable control arms that are found stock on Pontiac Grand Prix GTPs. The are the same adjustable control arms that SHO Shop sells. If you go through www.gmperformanceparts.com you can get them much cheaper. Then all you need is the reducing sleeves from Josh at SHO nut.

These arms allow adjustability to the rear and provide tighter handling. To make further assist in stiffening, you will need an H-brace.

You WILL LOVE your Eibachs! thumb They just make the car look right. BTW I got mine thru my local tire store for $200. You'll hear people on the Forum say you gotta have Tokicos or Konis to make them work right, but IME the midrange KYB's are fine with them.

BEWARE, however, you will have to alter your driving style over driveways and curb cuts. The new springs lowered mine so much that the lower center bit of my front bumper cover is now missing, after one too many confrontations with the tarmac leaving the...well, ANY parking lot.

And yeah - why not do your own 60K? It's easy if you have a garage and a few thousand bucks worth of tools and a very accomodating assistant and are very patient and willing to stay up very late on your first try! :D I would do it again any day, now that I know what I'm in for...

Enjoy!

lol lol lol
Congrats on the recovery from the drugs and alcohol! thumb I know what they can do! Keep it up and if you need to chat with someone sometime...just drop me an e-mail!!

I love the part about the tools and the assistant!!
That's one of the main reasons I'm not doing it myself. I don't have a garage or the tools. This is my first 60k, I'll probably do the next because I'll have a second SHO by then.

I already have Tokico's and strut tower supports and sub frame connectors and I usually avoid pulling into drive ways, unless I absolutely have to. right now with the sub frame connectors it is really stiff....been on two wheels teetering many times...and don't do it unless necessarry!! Thanks for the heads up!!!
