do you all realize that you erased years of engineering by lowering your cars because you are now damaging suspension parts that were designed to a specific height for these cars.......all for a look

A lot of people shim the steering rack up with a hardened washer or two. It's not that bad.

I understand what you're trying to say but I can't think of anything that's getting damaged by lowering the car. The CV joints might be under a little more tension and the tie rods and sway bars may not be exactly parallel with the road depending on how far the car is lowered. This can lead to some handling issues but I can't think of anything that's getting damaged.

FWIW, when I installed Eibachs on my old 94 and my 93 (10 years ago), the ride height increased over stock. As time passed, the Eibachs began to settle and sag as well. Without cut coils, I don't consider the eibachs to really be lowering springs.

half-way there, I think.

Did mine to lower the COG and increase the handling. I have the steering rack shimmed up and the subframe shimmed down. After 6 years and 40k miles lowered like this, I've yet to replace any suspension parts. The only part I've had to replace was a lower control arm and that's because I ripped the dust boot on it. The alignment shop was able to set everything to my specs as well.

I guess you can say we reversed-engineered it to be better. I also have my rack shimed and all my suspension spec (well, to the spec I wanted; I have negative camber as it HELPS the wear on my tire and makes it more fun to drive).

Nice ride, I love the way the car sits.

Whoa, how did you put your hood supports there? Is there a write-up for that? I've been wanting to get a STB for the longest time, but since I always have to do some type of maintenance on the car I didn't want to loose my supports....

Are they ATX springs by any chance? The Pumpkin sat like that right after the tranny swap while the ATX springs were still in place. This was at PIR in 2005 (Mother's Day, that's my Mom), right after the tranny swap. It still had the interior in it.
