I have not been in a SHO with Intrax, but have been in other cars with them.

Question is are the intrax rougher then the eibach's when they ride? I like the way the eibach's rode in the SHO, they were just perfect.

True, Eibachs could stand to be a bit lower. But they're DEFINITELY stiff as all ****. I think the handling on my SHO is exactly where I want it. And honestly, if it were any lower I have no idea how I'd get a jack under it.
You put a jack under one of the sides first, get the car high enough to get a jack under the front, and your golden. Or you can have someone pull up on the fenders as you put the jack under it. My car isn't that low, but I know someones that is.

FWIW, I dont think my ride is any rougher with the intrax. The 40 series tires are what make it rough.

How much should I clip my Moogs to get the ride height of intrax springs??

Cause those intrax springs deliver a NICE ride height!

I put Intrax/Konis on my car several weeks ago. I cut 1 coil off the front springs. The front is very low and is perfect. The rear has about the same fender gap as the front, but is too high IMO. It was perfect with nearly 300 pounds of stuff in the back of the car. I might lower the rear strut in the knuckle to drop it another 1/2 inch or so.

My car rides nice enough that I can still take girls out to dinner. Much stiffer might be too much though. I've never bottomed out except on some of the horrible roads in Memphis.

Mine on the left with Koni/Eibachs and stock slicers. Matt's (LoudSHO92) Koni/Intrax w/17s on the right. Does mine seem lower than usual for an Eibach setup?

Sean having a heavier ATX makes it a tad lower, also when I got my c/f hood it raised the front about a half inch. So the comparison to matt's MTX with c/f hood is kinda off.. ;)

With the cut Moog CC's/Tokico, mine sits about as low as Bob's with the SS Linears. However, there are 2 cut coils on mine.

And from what i have heard in comparison the Moogs make the Eibachs feel soft... dont know if its true, but it is from a trusted source... so i believe it. Atleast until noted otherwise.

I still have a nice ride, depending on the road conditions. If they are fairly smooth, then all is good. However, if something is a miss, man, it gets tight fast.
And i still need to put on my SFC's... :naughty:

i have noticed a couple of bottoming out episodes since i put my intrax on, havn't got back under it yet to see if it is just bottoming out or if it may be my strut mounts are shot, cause it has done it a couple times on a small *** hole

I recently purchased a '90 and I am considering lowering springs and SFCs as the only suspension mods. I am curious about the look/stance of Gen1 cars with Eibach springs vs. Intrax. It seems as though the front of these cars(lowered or not) is always a bit higher than desired. I'd love to see some pics to compare the stance between the two brands. Also, if anyone has Gen3 wheels on a Gen1 or 2 with springs that'd be awsome:thumb:

Thanks yall.

SFC's are a good upgrade; You will probably need new struts and strut mounts too, (unless you already replaced them) to go with the lowering springs; OEM struts will not cut it with lowered springs (pogo mania), and new mounts and bearings (front) are a must if you are already in there changing things out. Sensatracs are affordable and work well with Eibach. I would also recommend FSTB and RSTB which will tighten things up; better handling and ride. Also check/replace sway bar end links / bushings if you haven't already. My Eibachs are not that stiff either; nice smooth ride (no coils cut). I have also heard Moog cargo's are much stiffer than Eibachs; don't need that with the zillion potholes we have in Chitown.

My thoughts exactly. Are intrax even available anymore?

Yet you guys still post up LOL
:)
anyhow, They're not manufactured anymore, but you can get them if you're good.

This is a great thread, I used it quite a bit in my search.

Intrax, 1 coil cut up front
Shomeet2
This one shows the stance better (not on grass/hill)
Shostop

In my opinion if I had an ATX I would NOT cut a coil the MTX is lighter and sits higher

Dang. Ironically, I'm just now getting around to upgrading the springs on my car. I am having a hard time finding Intrax springs too. I'll order them online only to find out a week later that they are discontinued and out of stock. Damn Irony.
