The previous owner of my sister's car removed the egr tube, so there's a hole in the manifold. What is the best way to plug it? He had put a bolt in there with jb weld on it, this works but only for low rpm use. Any help would be appreciated.

I would check a junk yard. The taurus vulcan motor has a small metal cover that bolts on with the egr gasket to give a good seal and I believe it will fit on the sho. It might also cover the hole in the y-pipe.

Another option would be to tap it and install a pipe plug. The source end of the EGR tube attaches not to the Y-pipe, but the cast iron exhaust manifold runner from the number three cylinder. There is another two-bolt ****** at that location.
