ECT Sensor

Could I get the part number and where this is on the engine please? I searched but could not find. I wan't to check and make sure it's connected properly before I purchase a new one.

nice pic, but since Mike's probably never taken apart the housing, he may not realize he's looking at it from the side the engine sees.

Mike -
Stand at the passenger fender, looking at the engine. Underneath your throttle body is the housing Steve shows. dead ahead behind the water neck is the t-stat. To the left (toward the radiator) is the temp gauge sender, and to the right is the ECT.

Thanks Steve. I did read about the joyride but it was my brothers car and has been running rich for awhile, buy after I get the sensors replaced and reset the idle I will definatley take her out for a good cleaning thumbs_u

There are two coolant sensors right? The one with the single lead teh and dual-lead on right?

My car is running mad rich and I think it's the temp sensor. Which do I need to replace and what is its part number?

My temp guage never goes above L and I just did my thermostat @ 120k.

Same as me, the other one is only for the temp gauge it doesn't effect engine managment.
