hey there i was wondering if i could replace the ribbons inside the EATC with single regular shielded wires, cause im desoldering old EATC faceplate with new ford\lincoln hard button faceplate.thx guys!

I don't see why that'd be a problem. In this case I would think that copper is copper, doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside.
