My car is a 90. The stock EATC had the usual busted up soft buttons. I purchased a hard button EATC from a member here on the forums, and was told it was functional. I put it in my car. When I went to use it for the first time, I found it didn't quite work. It freaks out and clicks on and off.
I have another 90 parts car. Since I don't have the EATC I took out of my car anymore, I have the one from the parts car. I thought maybe I could swap the hard buttons into the soft button unit. I made a post asking, but got no answers. Today, I decided to see if I could do it. I recently recall seeing a post in another EATC thread about that you have to match the color codes. I notice the hard button unit I was sold says "BLACK" on it. I have no idea what was in my car, because I chucked the stock unit when I put the new one in. However, the unit in my 90 parts car (same year as my car), has a blue dot sticker on it, I am guessing that's a "BLUE" code EATC.
I am not sure what to do at this point. The inside of the face plates of the units look like they'd require some good surgery to swap buttons.
Any help would be appreciated.
