I have seen a few threads on here for installing a hard button EATC control head. I have a 94 MTX and the buttons are wrecked like most all of them. Could someone please post the latest info on what head from what used vehicle works best and what mods will need to be made for it to work. Thanks in advance.

$70 bucks? Go to a pick n' pull. I got one for 10 bucks. I couldn't plug it in to verify that it worked because I have a Gen I with manual controls but hung onto it anyway for my next Gen II. It was in good shape so I assume it works. I'd try other sources first. I pulled mine out of a 95 Sable LS.

If you get one from some of the Lincoln's with the slightly different buttons, there's a way you can solder and modify it to work on the SHO. One of the guys on here can tell you how to do this. I believe he spoke up in one of my recent posts below titled something like J/Y Finds.

Yes you can go to a yard and pull one but not guarenteed that it is going to work. But for the money and knowing it works for sure that is the key part of buying used parts.:munch:

And possibly have a 35 dollar paper weight. Do a search for EATC and some have been burned on Evilbay and gotten non compatible EATC's. It's better to buy one from a member on here and know it works than chance it from somewhere else.

99% of the time they work, go to the yard and buy (best price so far is storm chaser) 6 of them assuming 10 bucks each, one is bound to work:rofl: You might not find that many, but even if you find one, odds are it will work.
