ok, first of all, sorry about my last post, I thought that I was replying to an earlier post that I had made....

Here is the deal. My Eatc has been progressivly acting stranger and stranger. It started when I went to manually turn the fan down, and nothing happened. as I fiddled with it, I smelled what I though to be burning plastic. made me think that maybe I had a short inside and it was melting the plastic coating on the wires in there. Next thing was when I hit the Off button, air started blowing through the defrost. Then the CC stopped workign all together. If I set it to 60 on auto or max air, I get nice cold wonderful A/C. If I turn it to 65 or higher....nothing.

I thought the EATC was totally fried, and may need replaced, and I was told that it may be the head, and I should run the self test. I did that, and after 20 seconds of nothing, I got 888 with everylight in the eatc on. As I understand that, it means all was well. So....what next?

Thanks for the help

If you can't turn your fan off by pressing "off", then your blower control module is bad. I don't think a bad EATC will cause the same problem as a bad BCM. Unplug your BCM to see if the fan shuts off. Open up and drop your glove box and the BCM is located to the lower left of the glove box. It will have a white label on it identifying it and will also have one large vacuum hose going to it.
